WHO WE ARE

The Madhesh Indigenous Disabled Women Association Nepal (MIDWAN) is a non-profit organization established on April 16, 2023, and registered at the District Administration Office, Dhanusha. MIDWAN is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council as of October 16, 2023. Based in Mithila Municipality, Ward No. 6, Dhanusha, our organization advocates for the rights of indigenous women with disabilities and other marginalized groups, including the Madheshi, Dalit, LGBTQ+ communities, in line with various national and international human rights standards like the UDHR, CRPD, CEDAW, and UNDRIP.
