Our Story

The Madhesh Indigenous Disabled Women Association Nepal (MIDWAN) was founded with a mission to advocate for the rights, empowerment, and inclusion of indigenous women with disabilities across Madhesh Province. Established on April 16, 2023, and registered at the District Administration Office in Dhanusha, MIDWAN is also affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal. Operating from Mithila Municipality, Ward No. 6 in Dhanusha, our organization represents and serves marginalized communities, including Madheshi, Dalit, and LGBTQ+ individuals with disabilities.
